![]() Man, I was wrong... well, it's kinda hard for me to properly introduce this game as I still haven't got through it, but I must say that I really enjoy playing it... There's really huge world and it's really greatly done... I especially like the cities... they give the feeling of the medieval times... As for the story... I haven't actually gotten that deep into that game to present it here... at start I thought it's so-so... but it's developing... maybe slowly, but developing.. The gameplay is great... I say great and not awesome, because I sometimes have problems fully controling the character... I mean changing the weapons at the right time, running by holding ALT (or whatever other button) kinda annoys me... I know I can change that in options, but then I would've to hold ALT to keep myself in the "silent mode".... But in the end, I really like the hidden blade... and the way you can fight... But what I really did not like is when you save those citizens... I mean, yeah, you save them by killing those people (soldiers?) abusing them and then all the people around start screaming and running around and then you go to talk to that saved person who calmly talks with you... WTF?? People are screaming and running around, there are dead bodies right before the person and he/she just talks to normally?? I just cannot bring to like that... PS: I really like collecting those flags... but I just cannot find two flags in the first city... and Templar Knights are really annoying, 'cause they're strong...

I did not play it on PC but on PS3... and the only negative side was... that the story ended too damn soon...
Graphically that game's awesome :D Game play is not bad either.... I really like the assassination in that game :D and the sneaking... and hiding... can't wait till i get my hands on Assassin's Creed 2 ![]() and i really like to kill those knights :D that's the best part of it and yes... saving those citizens are indeed good... when you save one... you feel that you have made something good (including killing some corrupted knights) and/or assassinated one or more nobles

I should have played the first game. Back then, my cousin bought the DVD (and we always share the DVDs) but my PC was busted. Later, when I fixed the PC, I had much better games to play (Gears Of War, for example).
However, I currently play Assassin's Creed 2 - sometimes - just when I am really bored and want to play a game (two conditions ). But I have to say, why did they move the game to France? And the running style is definitely weird - and freaking hilarious as well. And the controls are so annoying. I played UbiSoft's Prince Of Persia and AC2 is nothing lie the POP series' controls. Even my cousin, who played the first game, said: WTF are the controls like this in the 2nd game.Maybe I'll finish the game sometime soon, but I've vowed that the next game I'll finish will be SC2: WOL, which I haven't bought yet, so it'll have to wait.

Wow, I found the game play in the first game infuriating most of the time. There were literally times where I just wanted to pick up the game and throw it out the window. However - I think they made a great improvement on the game play in AC II. Still had a bit of knots they need to fix up in the third game, though. The story was awesome and I thought the concept behind it was pretty original and it only got better and better as I progressed through Assassins Creed II. I loved the music of the game. ^^ I think that had to be my favourite part in both games. After the assassination sequences and the retarded names the guards call you. xD - Also, being an Arab myself, I thought it was fucking awesome how they spoke Arabic in AC1. >xD. SO SEXEH!! Can't wait for Assassins Creed: Brotherhood!! EEEPP!!

I've only played this on the 360. I've heard from many that the PC version sucks ass anyway.
I never beat the game, but what I did complete was pretty cool. It felt a bit repetitive though, and the targets talked way too much. :/

Played through, and beaten, both main AC games. Haven't yet touched the ones on handheld consoles, but I do plan one day to get them (I say that to everything, I should really consider compiling a list and keep it with me into my old age).
ACI was majorly flawed. The missions were repetitive, the characters dull and, rather infamously, the villains acted like blade-activated-soliloquys. Once stabbed, they went on for about ten minutes, talking about power and other crap which could've been easily condensed into 'You bastard, you stabbed me, oh well, go collect some flags'. ACII improved on a lot, adding a lot more variety to the missions, creating a likeable character and a fun city to run around in. Bit crap that a certain part of a certain city is only available through DLC but every game nowadays is guilty of that so I can't bear a grudge uniquely to ACII because of it. In short, if you're going to get into this series, suffer through ACI for the story, then enjoy all of ACII. |

I played a bit through the first, got bored, and got rid of it. When I was testing the new 360's, I played the second game a little bit, but I didn't get to play it enough to really get a feel for it... And not knowing everything that happened in the first game, I was lost in the second. :/

a pretty awsome series. has a great story to it.
the first game was probly the worst as far as gameplay went, though it doesnt fall to far short of the other two. the main reason i say this is that all the stuff you do before actually taking down your target is the exact same regardless of which target your on. i dont even need to mention the flags... the second game added a great deal of variety. new weapons, combat moves, assasination methods, stuff to collect, a mansion to restore, ect. the third game further expanded on the additions to the series as well as added a multiplayer (since i havent played the multiplayer yet ill refrain from giving an opinion on it) |

I have to change my opinion of I. If anything, ACI was a much better game than a lot of people give it credit for, myself previously included. Not only is the Chase Theme my favourite of the series, but you actually were made to feel like you were hunting these people and they were your prey. Sure, you are still a one-man army and can easily fight off a group of soldiers with counter-kills, but slinking around cities, collecting information which would aid in the moment of the kill...awesome.
On a darker note, I've been playing Revelations and I have to say it's not gripped me as the other games did. Maybe because right at the start they decide to just go "Oh, you know you were all wondering about 16? Yeah, well here he is, this chap here. Don't look so disappointed, you wanted this." Or maybe it's because after II and Brotherhood, it's just more of the same. Quite eager to see what they do with III next year, as they've said they're going to try and get it done before December. |

I don't really like the series. The best thing it has going for it is the ability to climb all over the place, but that gets old fast. The stories aren't particularly great, and the combat doesn't feel right to me. It's got good graphics, but that shouldn't really be taken into consideration when judging a game.
