Do you have any words that you have come across that really irritates and/or disgusts you?
My word would have to be:
♦Grotto
It's just so... blegghh haha~ (For the lack of a better word to describe how the word grotto makes me feel)
I'm looking forward to everyone's least favourite words! c:

"Jolly" in terms of describing happiness. I hate cheesy language and that word is one of the cheesiest and the easiest one I can think of right now but there's a lot more.
But yeah, Jolly is a stupid word and why say that when you can say happy, glad, pleased, drunk or high?

I know~ I know I dislike more words but I cant remember them at the moment xD!

Actually I love the C word. It's good to use when you're really angry and makes for a good outlet.
Weird story about that word. Myself and friends used to hang out in a bar in the town center. We used to be there Thursdays pretty much until Sunday apart from when we were at work. One day this old bearded guy turned up and just started hanging with us but no one knew his name, so he came known to us as (swear) Mr.Cunt.
Because he was one. Weirdly, that name suited him better than any other name anyone could have given him. I miss him now.

Heh... I thought of another word that I dislike... This one I couldn't tell you why I dislike it, but I do: Rubbish. I just hate the word, especially when people say 'Rubbish Bin' instead of 'Trash can' or 'Trash bin'. It just bothers me.
Your and You're.
Oh, and There, Their and They're.
For the sole reason people are constantly confusing them. People are constantly confusing their words and they're starting to look like they don't know a thing about their language. So there.
You're all a bunch of idiots, thank you for your time.
Learn from my examples, dammit.
Finally, any and all swearwords I dislike. No idea why, I guess social taboo has finally rubbed off on me, not that that stops me from occasionally using them.

Trash can is an American thing. I don't know a single person in England (born here) that would say trash instead of rubbish. It's a rubbish bin, it's where your rubbish goes.
I don't know why but i've always hated the words knickers and underpants, i try and use underwear instead. Maybe it's just because i associate them with children and not adults.
Trash is an American word. Rubbish is a British one. The two are commonly confused, I know I sometimes say either or.
Also, so I'm technically still on-topic, I do still hate it when people put 'Your gay' or something along those lines. It's 'You're'. :/

My least fav english word would be the cursing and swearing. Especially when it comes in almost every sentence people want to say. Like "I'm so fucking tired by this fucking swearing that I fucking wish people would just shut the fuck up!" Or something like that. To read it is something else but to hear it is something else.
I'm not saying that I'm such a good person. I used to swear a lot but then in time I learn to control it and suddenly those swearing and cursing just stop. Lucky me XD
