So which do you prefer and why and which type of each (excluding neither obviously)
I personally like tea it's warm and soothing and tastes better than coffee okay except my moms proper old style coffee but thats rare so i prefer tea (just plain old tea noting special )

Depends on my mood really. If it comes from Starbucks, coffee for sure. Lately though I've been drinking a lot more hot tea. :D

I hate coffee. It's never nice, ever.

I love tea. I like it cool so i can drink it fast so it's usually pretty milky, and i don't take sugar in it.

I like both coffee and tea.

I don't remember where I learned about this, but I heard that Starbucks is a character in Moby Dick.

I like both coffee and tea.

I don't remember where I learned about this, but I heard that Starbucks is a character in Moby Dick.

That just confuses things further though :p WHY would anyone do such a thing guess some things will stay a mystery .......

My guess is that the creator of Starbucks thought that using the name of a character from a novel makes coffee seem more upscale. I have to admit, it is an interesting name, albeit a little odd.

TEA!! I do not like coffee..
My fave tea is camille, black current and mango ^^ All of them I enjoy with some sugar and organic honney
I do not like my tea with milk, I think that ruins the taste of the tea...

I like both. Depends on my mood or my purpose. If I'm doing my work or at work, I'd drink coffee. If during leisure time, I'd drink tea. Coffee usually with milk while tea with sugar.

EDIT

The first Starbucks was opened in Seattle, Washington, on March 30, 1971 by three partners: English teacher Jerry Baldwin, history teacher Zev Siegl, and writer Gordon Bowker. The three were inspired by entrepreneur Alfred Peet (whom they knew personally) to sell high-quality coffee beans and equipment.[8] The name is taken from Moby-Dick; after Pequod was rejected by one of the co-founders, the company was named for the first mate on the Pequod, Starbuck.

^ Is that a wannabe Santa? XD

Lately I've been drinking hot tea and water, and occasionally orange juice, and I've managed to lose weight. Not sure if it's because the tea or not though. Coffee is just losing it's appeal.

Of those 2, it's tea (Forest fruit with milk and sugar and kamille with honey)/ice tea with peaches (I love the smell of tea in supermarkets)..
But I like the smell of coffee-powder.. I know it sounds a bit wierd..

I didn't realise people drank so many different types of tea. I personally hate fruit teas or Camille and stuff like that.
If it has a perfumey smell then I can't drink it. I prefer just plain normal tea.

I like most kinds of tea and coffee... The one I prefer all depends on my mood at the time, though...

I gotta have my coffee light and sweet, though, or it just isn't great.

Tea is definitely the one for me. A nice, warm, Chai tea with some honey.

= Best.

I'm with Sab on this one. Hot tea is nice for most of the times, but if I'm at Starbucks I like a nice coffee. Usually a Latte, but if it's hot outside I do like a nice frappuccino to cool down with. I'm not a big fan of coffee at home, it always makes me feel hungry and empty like I do when I drink too much water. Tea doesn't do that.

As a random note (in case you ever get asked this question in a general knowledge quiz) I usually drink between 6-10 pints (imperial not US) of tea a day, though lately I've been ill so I've had about half as much a day for the last week. Makes about an average of 5 litres a day. Coffee not so much of. Since I hardly drink it at home, I probably have the average of 1 large latte every 3-4 weeks. Not a big coffee drinker at all.

I love Earl Grey leaf tea... it has such a great aroma... there are also some bag teas I enjoy drinking, but those aren't as great.

Also, a tea with white rum. Mmm... perfect for long, winter evenings :)

I like coffee, too. But it has to be sweet and with lots of milk :D I ocassionally drink stronger coffees, but I'm not fond of them this much.

Coffee with run > Tea with rum

Especially if the rum is Cherry Jack.

Tea for me, I drink Earl Grey; Peppermint; Gingsing, blackcurrant and vanilla and Apple and blueberry.

I drink all with sugar and without milk! I just love tea!
I do drink coffee sometimes, but it has to be 'real' coffee not instant and again with sugar and without milk :)

I can't even imagine drinking tea with milk... with coffee, milk is a must, but with tea... o_0

I know what you mean, milk is just ick >.<
It just ruins the taste of tea and coffee, but thats just my opinion :)

I can't have tea with sugar. It's just plain awful and takes away all the taste of it.

For me it's PJ tips or Tetley tea bags. That's all. When desperate I'll drink the cheap home brand tea they sell in shops but i don't like doing it. You can tell when the tea bags are cheap.
No matter how little money i have left, there are just some things i wont settle for cheap.
1)toilet paper
2)chocolate
and
3)tea bags.

I haven't had coffee for months now - I realised that it was getting pretty bad when I was drinking a cup of coffee every hour or two. You can't go past a well brewed coffee though, I refuse to touch the instant stuff.

These days I'll go for a peppermint tea.

I drink tea generally and coffee when I feel like it.
